ESSENTIALS DIAPER DRIVE: TownPlace Suites by Marriott is a proud diaper collector

With a desire to serve those most in need, Marriott employees work to collect diapers

July 19, 2019

Joseph Comage is very familiar with the cost of having kids. How? Because he’s father to his adorable eight-year-old daughter Jasmine.

“I’m a single father and I completely understand the cost of Pampers so I thought I could do something to possibly help out.”

That understanding is what led Comage to host a diaper drive for Essentials 2019 at his hotel. He’s the Manager of the TownPlace Suites by Marriott in Anaheim - one of the 126 locations that’s hosted a diaper drive in 2019. That was the first year that the TownPlace Suites by Marriott in Anaheim was an Essentials Diaper Drive Champion, but Comage says it didn’t stop him from setting a high collection goal.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing how many diapers I can get. I think I can get a lot, I can really pull my resources,” he says.

He explains, while sitting back at his desk in a small office at the TownPlace Suites in Anaheim, that Essentials reminds him of the person he loves most- his daughter Jasmine. Pulling on his heart strings even more are the memories of his past, when he thinks back on his time working with the food bank in Palm Desert where he managed another hotel.

His message to other people in the community looking to get involved is simple: “Always stay involved,” he says. “If you can help in any way then of course you’ll always want to help. Giving back to the community that’s given to you, you always want to do that.”
