Established in 1975, Fullerton Interfaith Emergency Service is a cooperative community effort of volunteers and North Orange County congregations dedicated to providing emergency food, shelter and other services to the poor and homeless in the community. Contributions from churches, synagogues, individuals, businesses, foundation grants and government agencies provide the support for the nonprofit organization.

Brookfield Homes is serving as the Builder Captain for FIES's latest project, the New Vista Shelter led by Brookfield Homes vice president, Brian Geis. With the recent wall raising ceremony behind them, New Vista contributors and the predevelopment team of Lind & Associates Architecture; iba Design; Lim Chang Rohling Associates, Inc.; and ima + design, are working in partnership toward the completion of this latest addition to the FIES community for homeless families. The New Vista Shelter is scheduled for dedication in the summer of 2005.
