Sonia Lister Named President of HomeAid Orange County Board of Directors
IRVINE, CA (February 12, 2010) — HomeAid Orange County, the founding chapter of a
national non-profit organization, announced the naming of the organization’s first woman board
president, Sonia Lister, Partner at Jackson, DeMarco, Tidus & Peckenpaugh.
Involved since 1993, Lister has served in key leadership roles for the past 10 years, as a
member of the board of directors and the executive committee. She has co-chaired the
organization’s annual fundraising gala since 2006 and in 2009 served on the steering committee
planning HomeAid’s 20th Anniversary events. In 2008, HomeAid launched for the first time in
Orange County their Essentials for Young Lives program in partnership with the Children and
Families Commission of Orange County. Lister served as the first chairperson for what has now
become an annual community-wide campaign to collect “essential” baby items (diapers, baby
wipes, etc.) for homeless infants and toddlers.
Lister is a graduate of the University of California at Davis School of Law and University
of California at Irvine. Lister started her legal career at Morrison & Foerster LLP where she
represented clients in a wide range of real estate transactions for over 13 years. Lister joined
the firm of Jackson, DeMarco, Tidus & Peckenpaugh in 2005, where she is a partner in the
firm’s real estate group. As a real estate lawyer, her practice is dedicated to the financing,
acquisition, disposition, development, construction and leasing of real property, with particular
focus on real estate finance, distressed property and workouts. She is a member of the
American Bar Association; State Bar of California, Real Property Law Section; Orange County
Bar Association, Real Estate Section; and the Building Industry Association, Orange County
Chapter.
Lister resides with her husband Glyn and sons; Henry, and Max in Newport Beach, Calif.
