OCAR Provides Generous Support to HomeAid

The Orange County Association of Realtors (OCAR) recently presented HomeAid Orange County with a check in the amount of $15,000. Proceeds were generated by the OCAR's three affiliate-sponsored events consisting of an annual golf tournament, a bowling tournament and a beach party, as well as additional contributions made on behalf of the association.
Chosen as OCAR's charitable benefactor for the fourth consecutive year, HomeAid Orange County was founded by the leadership of the Orange County Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California as its charitable outreach.
With 34 completed shelter developments and six in various stages of planning and construction, HomeAid Orange County is the largest provider of shelters for temporarily homeless in Orange County. Those temporarily homeless served by HomeAid include women in crisis pregnancy, abused children, victims of domestic violence, homeless adults living with HIV/AIDS; the mentally challenged; homeless youth, and those families and individuals who find themselves homeless as a result of job loss or catastrophic illness.
