THE SCHROCK FAMILY CONSPIRACY

Dressed as a menacing gorilla, HomeAid Orange County supporter Michael Schrock of Urban Arena Landscape & Architectural Design joined his wife, Andrea as the two competed for the Spirit of New Orleans playhouse auctioned at the recent safari-themed HomeAid Orange County Project Playhouse.
Unbeknownst to HomeAid - the building industry's charitable arm - Schrock secretly solicited monies for the couple to use enabling them to maximize the playhouse-selling price; as the Spirit of New Orleans playhouse builder - K. Hovnanian Homes was matching proceeds to aid the Hurricane Katrina victims.
The couple ultimately upped the bid to a whopping $63,000 then donated the playhouse back to the auction where it was sold a second time. The playhouse raised over $100,000 to aid the homeless.
