HOMEAID ORANGE COUNTY'S PROJECT PLAYHOUSE BUILDERS ANNOUNCED

Soaring Over OC - last year's playhouse entry built by John Laing Homes is representative of the creative entries slated for this year's event. Project Playhouse will be on display from September 17 - October 22 at Fashion Island in Newport Beach with proceeds benefiting Orange County's homeless.
IRVINE, CALIF. - (May 2, 2005) HomeAid Orange County a non-profit organization that builds and renovates temporary residences for thousands of Southern California homeless families announces the playhouse builders for its 14th annual Project Playhouse fundraiser.

Project Playhouse 2005, presented by the Children & Families Commission of Orange County will be held from September 17 through October 22 at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, and is expected to draw over three million visitors throughout the duration of the event..
Established by the leadership of the Orange County Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California in 1989, HomeAid Orange County has completed 37 shelter projects to date. The temporarily homeless served by HomeAid include women in crisis pregnancy; women and their children who are domestic violence victims; the mentally challenged; adults living with HIV/AIDS; homeless youths; and those who find themselves homeless as a result of job loss or catastrophic illness.
There are nearly 35,000 men, women and children in Orange County who do not have a permanent nighttime address. HomeAid's Project Playhouse event garners an essential part of the funds needed to support HomeAid's shelter projects that will provide housing for families in need.
