Peter White's Smooth Jazz Aids The Homeless
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (July 7, 2004)

Peter White
Award winning-jazz guitarist, Peter White recently performed at HomeAid Orange County's sixth annual Rainbow of Hope Ball where proceeds topped out at over $170,000. In addition to wowing the audience with his guitar solo, White generously donated a private concert that brought the lion's share of the event's live auction earnings.

In addition to his charitable pursuits and numerous awards, White has become a mainstay of the annual "Smooth Jazz Christmas" tour with Dave Koz and friends – a collaboration that culminated in a CD nominated for a coveted Grammy Award. White's generous contribution to HomeAid's event has brought thousands of dollars to support the building industry's non-profit's shelter development program.

The temporarily homeless served by HomeAid Orange County and their partners include victims of domestic violence; families and individuals made homeless by job loss, catastrophic illness or spousal desertion; women in crisis pregnancy; neglected youths; and the mentally disabled. Through HomeAid's efforts more than 6,000 people last year found refuge in one of the shelters developed by this organization.
